Why a 2024 Bullet Journal Setup Still Matters for Beginners
One piece of multimedia that fits my blog theme really well is AmandaRachLee’s YouTube video “PLAN WITH ME! January 2024 Bullet Journal Setup.” In the video, she creates a January bullet journal spread and walks viewers through the planning and decorating process in a way that feels calm, creative, and realistic. The video focuses on setting up a new month in a way that is both cute and functional.
In my own words, this video shows how journaling can be useful and artistic at the same time. Instead of making planning feel stiff or stressful, Amanda turns it into something personal and visually motivating. She shows that a bullet journal is not just for writing tasks down. It can also be a space that makes you want to come back and use it. That matters because a lot of people, especially students, struggle to stay consistent with planners when the pages feel boring or overwhelming.
This connects closely to my blog theme because Sweet Bee Stationery is built around illustration, journaling, scrapbooking, and cute stationery that feels approachable. A big part of what I want my blog to do is help people realize they do not have to choose between something being useful and something being cute. A planner page can help you stay organized while also feeling fun to create. That is one of the strongest things this video demonstrates. Even though the spread is polished, the overall idea is still simple enough to inspire beginners.
This video also connects really well to my buyer persona. My audience is mostly students and young adults who love stationery, planners, and aesthetic creative content, but who often feel intimidated by perfectionism. AmandaRachLee’s video works because it gives people a visual example of how to make a page look thoughtful without making it feel impossible. Someone watching could take one or two ideas from the setup instead of trying to copy everything exactly. That is important because my blog is also meant to encourage low-pressure creativity.
Another reason this matters is that multimedia keeps readers engaged in a different way than written content alone. A blog post can explain why cute layouts matter, but a video lets readers actually watch the process happen. They can see how a blank page slowly becomes something organized and creative. If I used this video in a blog post, I could add my own perspective by showing how beginners can simplify similar layouts, use affordable supplies, or adapt the ideas into sticker-inspired pages.
What I learned from this video is that content does not have to be loud or complicated to be effective. Calm, process-based content can still be very engaging when it is beautiful and useful. It also reminds me that my own content should not only show finished results. Sharing the process and small steps can make creativity feel more possible for my readers.
Overall, this video fits my blog because it reflects the same values I want Sweet Bee Stationery to stand for: approachable creativity, functional beauty, and making planning feel personal and enjoyable.
